What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for passive fire protection systems. Your role will include:
- Reviewing tender documents and preparing bid/no-bid assessments
- Producing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and proposals
- Collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and standards
- Managing risk assessments and identifying commercial opportunities
- Supporting business development and client engagement
- Mentoring junior estimators and supporting team development
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with at least three years of experience in passive fire protection or a related field, with a strong understanding of estimating, tendering, and cost planning. You may hold a qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, and IFE Level 2 or 3 in Passive Fire Protection is a bonus. You’ll be confident working with NEC or JCT contracts, producing accurate pricing, and managing supplier relationships. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. You’ll also be a team player who can support others while managing your own workload effectively.
