Senior Quantity Surveyor
Are you a commercially driven quantity surveyor ready to lead on high-value projects and shape the future of a leading engineering business? At Kilnbridge, we’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who can bring commercial insight, leadership, and precision to our most ambitious work.
Why Kilnbridge?
We take on some of the UK’s most complex engineering and construction challenges, and we do it with integrity, teamwork, and purpose. As an employee-owned business, every team member has a personal stake in our success. That means your work directly contributes to our growth, culture, and reputation.
We live by our values: Responsibility, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence. If these align with how you work, you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll oversee the commercial aspects of projects from start to finish, ensuring financial control, risk management, and value delivery. Your role will include:
- Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Managing cost analysis, feasibility studies, and procurement strategies
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments
- Managing subcontractor packages and final accounts
- Advising on contractual claims and variations
- Producing cost forecasts and financial reports
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with around five or more years of experience in the construction industry, ideally with a background in managing commercial aspects of complex projects. You might hold a degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, or you may have gained equivalent experience on the job — both are equally valued. Membership of RICS or similar is desirable but not essential. You’ll be confident working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, and you’ll bring strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and attention to detail. You’ll also be a capable leader, able to mentor others, manage disputes, and drive performance. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to produce clear, accurate reports is essential.

- 25 Days Holiday and Paid Volunteering days
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Employee Profit Sharing Bonus Scheme
- A leadership role in a forward-thinking, employee-owned business
- Opportunities to shape strategy and drive long-term impact
