Construction Manager

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity across your team. Your role will include:
- Leading site teams and supervising daily operations
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
- Managing plant, materials, and labour on site
- Supporting apprentices and mentoring junior staff
- Coordinating with project managers and commercial teams
- Monitoring progress and resolving on-site issues
- Driving high standards of workmanship and site presentation
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with at least five years of experience in a supervisory construction role, including three years as a non-working front line supervisor. You’ll hold relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 5 or 6, SMSTS, and other site safety certifications. You’ll be confident managing teams, solving problems on site, and maintaining high standards under pressure. Strong communication, organisational skills, and a proactive attitude are essential. You’ll also be commercially aware and able to support cost control and resource planning.
