Senior Quantity Surveyor

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead the commercial and financial management of fire protection projects, ensuring profitability, compliance, and strategic alignment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete analysis
- Administering contracts (JCT, NEC), variations, and final accounts
- Leading procurement strategies and subcontractor selection
- Producing commercial reports and supporting governance
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
- Supporting dispute resolution and legal compliance
- Mentoring quantity surveyors and supporting team development
- Contributing to business development and client relationships
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone with at least five years’ experience in quantity surveying, ideally within passive fire protection or related construction fields. You’ll have a strong grasp of commercial management, contract law, and fire safety regulations. A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is essential, and experience with social housing, high-rise residential, or public sector projects is a plus.
You’ll be confident using commercial software (e.g. Candy, CostX, Bluebeam), interpreting technical drawings, and managing supplier relationships. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects are key.
