Fire Protection Surveyor
Are you a detail-driven surveyor with a passion for fire safety and technical accuracy? At Kilnbridge, we’re looking for a Fire Protection Surveyor to join our Design & Engineering team. You’ll play a key role in surveying passive fire protection systems and helping shape safe, compliant environments across a range of projects.
Why Kilnbridge?

As an employee-owned business, every team member has a personal stake in our success. That means your work directly contributes to our growth, innovation, and reputation.
We live by our values: Responsibility, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence. If these resonate with you, you’ll feel right at home here.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll carry out detailed surveys of compartmentation and firestopping systems, helping ensure buildings meet fire safety standards. Your role will include:

- Identifying breaches and assigning appropriate remedial solutions
- Producing structured, technically defensible reports
- Using digital platforms to log survey data and support compliance
- Liaising with manufacturers to validate firestopping products
- Supporting technical documentation and detail assignment
- Advising on material compatibility and contributing to pricing and planning
- Sharing insights to improve survey methodology and reporting consistency
What We’re Looking For
You’ll have extensive experience in compartmentation surveying and passive fire protection inspections, with a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. You’ll be confident assigning firestopping details, referencing manufacturer specs and national standards, and producing clear, structured reports.
Experience with platforms like OneTrace, Bolster, Auditform, or Oneserve is ideal. FRA experience isn’t essential, but the ability to interpret fire risk assessments is a bonus. You’ll need a full UK driving licence and be flexible to travel across sites.
