We’re seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to guide and support our Commercial team, helping us deliver major projects with confidence, clarity and collaboration.
What You’ll Be Doing
Creating a supportive, positive environment where your team feels encouraged, valued and motivated.
Holding regular, meaningful check‑ins that help people grow their commercial skills and confidence.
Finding smarter, more collaborative ways of working that strengthen margins and make life easier for everyone involved.
Offering steady, trusted commercial advice during tendering to help shape strong, competitive bids.
Managing monthly reporting (CVRs, forecasts, valuations) ensuring the information is accurate, clear and genuinely helpful.
Supporting audits, subcontract management and any disputes with fairness, clarity and calmness.
Leading claims, variations and final account work with confidence and professionalism.
Working closely with Operational teams to ensure project delivery feels aligned, respectful and joined‑up.
Helping with recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning so the team stays well‑supported and resourced.
What You’ll Need
A warm, people‑centred leadership style with the ability to build genuine, trusting relationships.
Relevant qualifications (HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience).
Around 5+ years’ experience in Commercial Management within construction or a specialist discipline.
Strong communication skills, clear, confident and empathetic.
High numeracy, sound analysis and a keen eye for detail.
A solid understanding of construction processes, industry regulations and commercial best practice.
The ability to remain composed under pressure, approach challenges thoughtfully and handle conflict professionally.
Confidence using MS Office to produce clear, accurate reports.
A genuine passion for developing others, encouraging teamwork and creating an open, respectful culture.
