Join our Design and Engineering team as an Early-Career Structural Engineer, supporting the delivery of major projects across infrastructure and the built environment. You’ll contribute to design from concept to construction while developing practical, buildable solutions alongside experienced engineers.
What you’ll do
· Support structural design and analysis for complex permanent-works projects
· Assist with structural modelling, calculations and technical assessments
· Produce engineering drawings, reports and design documentation
· Contribute to concept development and detailed design stages
· Ensure compliance with Eurocodes and relevant UK standards
· Collaborate with engineers, project teams and other disciplines
· Gain exposure to site and fabrication environments to support design development
· Assist in identifying and solving engineering challenges
· Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
What you’ll need
· Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
· Up to 2–3 years’ relevant experience (graduates also encouraged to apply)
· Understanding of structural design principles and Eurocodes
· Familiarity with software such as IdeaStatica, Tekla Structural Designer or Tedds (desirable)
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to produce clear and accurate technical work
· Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
· Motivation to work towards ICE or IStructE chartership
