The Role
We are looking for an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager, to join our established aviation team, to lead the successful delivery of major construction work packages and projects across Kilnbridge’s portfolio.
You will take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Acting as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, you will lead multidisciplinary teams and drive performance across safety, commercial, programme, quality and people.
This is a leadership role within the team with significant responsibility, offering the opportunity to shape project outcomes, influence business performance and contribute to Kilnbridge’s continued growth.
What You’ll Do
Lead and manage project delivery across safety, programme, cost, quality and people, acting as the primary Company representative and main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
Establish and lead high-performing project teams, ensuring clear roles, structure and communication
Develop and manage construction programmes, monitoring progress and driving performance
Ensure all works are carried out in line with Kilnbridge's Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards, overseeing Risk Assessments, Method Statements and safe systems of work
Manage project budgets, optimise costs and identify opportunities for value and efficiency
Coordinate resources including labour, plant, materials and subcontractors, leading site operations where required, including labour management and coordination
Manage project documentation, reporting and client communications, identifying and communicating project risks, variations and opportunities
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely, high-quality delivery, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
Support tender processes and contribute to work-winning activities when required
Drive innovation, continuous improvement and best practice across projects, leading, coaching and developing team members to support performance and career development
What You’ll Need
Proven experience as a Project Manager within a construction environment, ideally with a Structural Steel background
Strong knowledge of construction processes, standards, methods and regulations, including multidisciplinary interfaces, temporary works and lifting solutions
Relevant CSCS card (appropriate level), with professional membership desirable or equivalent experience
Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams
Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets
Strong understanding of NEC4 contracts and notifiable events, with familiarity with Works Information and procurement processes
Excellent organisational and planning skills at both strategic and operational levels, with the ability to drive projects to a high standard in complex, fast-paced environments
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project reporting tools and document control systems (CEMAR)
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
